Danny Trejo

Yesterday a movie star named Danny Trejo came 2 our school and talked 2 us about the decisions he made in his life and ways we can prevent those "lil bad decisions". Out of all the things he said yesterday I think the most stuff that stuck with with me was how he kept talking about the lil bad decisions he made when he was younger and how later in life they became huge problems. For instance, when I choose not 2 do my homework it gets me detention then when my mom finds about about the detention I get grounded then when I get grounded I'm always fustrated and angry so because of the way I feel it leads me 2 make the same bad decision again, which is not doing my homework. I learned from his talk how to avoid such problems and other things that keep me on track and how to know when that right decision is the best decision. I can use his advice for everyday situations. Even right now I could use his advice. By doing this assigned blog and completing it I'm making the right decision and getting all my well deserved points 4 this class. I appreciate everything that Danny Trejo talked about and I'm happy he took his time 2 come 2 our school and talk 2 us.

Martin Luther King

The story in the series I chose was called 'Along With Martin Luther King'. It was basically a interview with a man named Jonathon Tilove. It was about how his idea of going to all the streets containing the name of Martin Luther King. At first it was just his idea and he was waiting for some one else to think of it and do it, but no one did so he decided to. He noticed that every street with the name Martin Luther King was in a black community. Most of the communities contained impoverish black people. He said that was one Martin Luther King street in a white community, but the only reason why there was is because black people wanted that street to be names after MLK. Tilove went over about the comments made about the MLK streets and he said that they really aren't what he thought they would be. He said that most people say when you see MLK's name on a street you better run, but he said that every street he went to there were friendly black people that loved holding conversations with him. I like the interview and I learned from it that there are 650 streets in the U.S. that bear the name Martin Luther King. The site that includes all this information is http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4283063

My thought about my generation

The main things that I will remember about my generation is 9/11, when war was declared, the tsunamis, and the UNWANTED re-election of President Bush. Oh yeah and 2 put my biggest thought on Bush, all I have 2 say is, BUCK FUSH! N-e way, the reason why these things will be so memorable is because these basically were the biggest things in the past 3 or 4 years. I know I'm not going 2 b like sum ppl and make myself 4get all the bad stuff that happened, but 2 me I think that passing this information on to the generations to cum will be sumthin very good to know.

Winter Vacation

My winter vacation was SUPER fun. The Friday before winter vacation I didn't have to go to school because me and Amarah were leaving to go to Big Bear. Big Bear was real fun. I learned how to snowboard and how to skate in the snow. Me and Amarah had some really sore butts after our snowboarding lessons. When we went snowboarding by ourselves we hurt ourselves even more. I mean we got the hang of it after a while, but the snow was harder and we were on more difficult hills. When I cam back from Big Bear I basically juz stayed home and relaxed with my family. Christmas was fun. I got a lot of money, but I only got it from my mom, dad, and grandma. I went shoppin and got some real good deals. On New Year's I was with Amarah. We were supposed to go to Citywalk but her dad said it was going to be too crazy. SO the next day we went to Citywalk 4 a while. We were supposed 2 c Meet the Fockers or Darkness, but we didn't feel like watching a movie. So we spent out movie money on sushi. That sushi was GOOD. Well, there really is nothin else 2 say so I hope everyone had some good holidays and good luck this year.
