Martin Luther King
The story in the series I chose was called 'Along With Martin Luther King'. It was basically a interview with a man named Jonathon Tilove. It was about how his idea of going to all the streets containing the name of Martin Luther King. At first it was just his idea and he was waiting for some one else to think of it and do it, but no one did so he decided to. He noticed that every street with the name Martin Luther King was in a black community. Most of the communities contained impoverish black people. He said that was one Martin Luther King street in a white community, but the only reason why there was is because black people wanted that street to be names after MLK. Tilove went over about the comments made about the MLK streets and he said that they really aren't what he thought they would be. He said that most people say when you see MLK's name on a street you better run, but he said that every street he went to there were friendly black people that loved holding conversations with him. I like the interview and I learned from it that there are 650 streets in the U.S. that bear the name Martin Luther King.
